Liz Lyrae is an independent singer-songwriter based in Denver, Colorado, known for her lyrical content and acoustic sound that incorporates folk inspired styles with modern modes of storytelling. She grew up surrounded by music, and it has always been an important part of her life, as she played the viola throughout her childhood, and eventually ventured into other instruments like the guitar and piano. 

She began writing music at the age of 14, and since then she has continued to explore the realm of songwriting and recording music, and has been releasing her own original songs. Since 2020, she has released her EP “Let’s Not Talk”, her 10 song album entitled “Loser”, and several singles including songs like “Be Mine” and “21”. Her songs feature a soft and melancholy sound accompanied by grounding and vulnerable lyrics that include more heavy content that explores toxic environments, deep insecurity, and growing up. Her unique and honest lyrical style aims to provide a space in which the uncomfortable emotions in life can be deconstructed and understood by both herself and the listener.

As she continues to write, record, and release music independently, Liz remains committed to authenticity in every part of her process. She handles much of her own production and recording, and her artistic choices reflect a clear and consistent vision. In doing so, she offers not just songs, but a space, for those who are still figuring things out and still learning how to be honest with themselves.
